Unfortunately, the unavoidable and currently untreatable/incurable genetic condition of polycystic kidneys runs in my family. Most who have it are only mildly affected by this, except for my sister, whose symptoms of the disease are more acute. For this reason, I have chosen to donate profits from the sales of these two pieces to the PKD Foundation of Canada.
Purchase of this piece will help support endpkd.ca and its stated mission to "promote programs of research, advocacy, education, support and awareness in order to discover treatments and a cure for polycystic kidney disease and improve the lives of all it affects." Artwork purchased from this collection will be available to pick up or ship following the close of the ART IN MY GARDEN exhibit. Arrangements will be made for pick up or shipping after Monday September 11 2023.
LOCAL PICK UP:
Free local pick up of art purchases from MAPLE STUDIO in Oakville, Ontario are available. Regular studio hours are M-F 11am-4pm and weekends by appointment. Please indicate this preference at check out by choosing the option LOCAL PICK UP. You will be contacted via separate email make detailed arrangements.
SHIPPING WILL BE INVOICED SEPARATELY:
Once your order is received, shipping costs will be calculated and an invoice emailed to you for approval and payment prior to the final order being fulfilled.
DUTIES AND TAXES OUTSIDE OF CANADA:
For international orders, the receiver is responsible for any additional charges incurred by customs, duties and taxes.
